Traffic Wire

Traffic Wire

Traffic Wire began as Red Hot Mini Cheddars in the summer of ‘09 when they all met at Rock School, Leeds. In January 2010 they entered the battle of the bands competition, Live n Unsigned, and changed their name to Hot Ice. They were the youngest band to get to the semi-finals of the national competition and were among the last 150 from 10,000 artists. They have played at great venues such as The Cockpit, The Northern Monkey,  The Wardrobe, Leeds Town Hall, Breeze on Tour, I love South Leeds Festival as well as many local pubs and clubs, giving them great experience of performing for live audiences of all ages. Their 3rd and final name change happened recently when Liam Hayes rejoined them as the bass player. Traffic Wire have just been announced as one of the 12 finalists in the Centre Stage competition and will be competing for the chance to play at Leeds and Reading festival at the O2 Academy in Leeds on July 19th 2011.
