Phil the Tank
Phil the Tank started mixing hardcore on his mate’s beltdrives at the age of 13. By the age of 16 he was already playing at various events, notably the new talent arena at Helter Skelter under the pseudonym ‘Ecstatic’.
In the mid-2000s Phil rediscovered his passion for DJing and turned his attention to tech drum’n’bass and jungle, sighting influences such as Spor, Prolix, DLR, Break, S.P.Y, Icicle and EBK. He has guested on various radio shows and is currently a resident DJ at Depthcuts. This year he launched his own event ‘Bad Man Ting’ at Moho Live in Manchester, featuring jungle pioneers such as Doc Scott and Kenny Ken.
