Natural Rhythm Band
Natural Rhythm were formed in 1990 by Tony Boyce. They played many a gig all over britain and abroad before family commitments forced the band to fold in 1995 but not before they recorded their album “Bluebeat And Ska” on Skank records. This time round the band still have that hard, raw ska sound with 2 or three reggae tunes thrown infor good measure. They describe themselves as ska warriors who in Tony Boyce’s, words ” We dont take no prisoners man”. The four core members of the band are Tony, Gary, Ian, and Yogi who have been with the band from day one. The others have recently joined and are soon to be joined on saxaphone by Dave who briefly played in the band in the early 90s and in fact played sax on their album” Bluebeat And Ska” . Natural Rhythm have revamped their old songs and have new songs in their setlist as well. “This Is Ska – Love The Ska” is one of them. The band hope to play north , south, east and west in their quest to awaken the nation’s ears to ska, they’re gunna keep it raw keep it SKA.
