John started out on Northern Soul scene in the early 70s attending the major venues and soon discovering a passion for the scene…From early days behind the decks at the local youth clubs it wasn’t long before John became a familiar figure at venues such as Derby’s Assembly rooms, the City Hall and Samantha’s at Sheffield. Over the years Johns vinyl collection has developed into one of the country’s finest and he’s graced the decks at the legendary Prestatyn weekender, as well as regular spots at massive venues such as Bridlington and Scarborough weekenders and Tadcasters Riley Smith hall. John has been resident DJ at The Engine Shed at Wetherby, the incredible Holgate Soul nights and is currently at York’s premier rare soul club. You can catch John at the forthcoming Valencia weekender but In the meantime he’s also at Limetree with his mouth watering collection.
