East Park Reggae Collective

“Could well be the first band since The Specials to bring Reggae back to the masses” – Time Out.
The mighty East Park Reggae Collective are a class act. Their love for Reggae comes from a love of music and a political frustration best manifested the only way they know how.
Formed in Leeds in 2005, the band was brought together by long time collaborators Johnny Tomlinson and Tommy Evans, and quickly gained a serious reputation on the Leeds live scene, playing a host of venues throughout the city. Fronted by the uncompromising vocals of Anna Stott, the band also boasts a heavyweight 4-piece horn section, and a locked in rhythm section featuring members of the Lion Trio.
This band is on a mission. They move audiences with their rough breed of dub, reggae and ska, performing infectious original material. No heart is left untouched, no foot remains unmoved.
With tunes calling on inspiration from corrupt leaders and social injustice through to prevailing good times, this band is as current and real as it is musical and entertaining.
EPRC have supported artists such as The Skatellites, The Wailers, Irration Steppa, Dawn Penn, Pama Int, Scratch Perverts, Faithless, Mad Professor amongst others, and have performed at venues across the UK, as well as receiving rave reviews from the Leeds music press, through their continual involvement with club nights New Bohemia and the Hifi Club.
EPRC’s first long-player release hits the shops in February 09 on GLP records as well as all good download stores, be sure to get hold of a copy.
