Almost Midnight
Almost Midnight are welcomed back after they rocked the JBs world music stage at Limetree last year. Almost Midnight are an energetic funk/rock/pop band from Aylesbury, Bucks. They released their debut album, “Hate Mondays” in February 2011 and will be playing their new single “Let’s be more than friends” from the forthcoming second album. Front man, lead vocalist and bassist Charlie Wood formed the band in 2010 and writes catchy songs about life, in a funky style with elements of rock and pop. Heralded as “Level 42 for a new generation” by celebrity producer Jon Astley, the band have played live on BBC and local Radio. Last summer was busy with gigs including playing main support at Music on the Moor, the main stages at Rumble Down South and Clarence Park Music Festival, London’s Hard Rock Cafe to name a few. Influences include 70’s disco, Queen, Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Stevie Wonder, Neville Brothers, The Beatles, the carpenters, Jamiroquai, Latin and Folk music. See
