Limetree Music & Arts Festival

For the last 15 years 2 Kool Tony has been playing some of the finest Hip Hop, Soul and Funk at clubs and festivals across the world from New York to Los Angeles. As a regular feature on the Snowbombing line up he has also played all over Europe with people like Fatboy Slim. Known for his rare tune selection, turntable skills and the fact that he only uses vinyl Tony has been an integral part of two of the North of England’s finest DJ collectives 'Depthcuts' and 'Heavy Crates'.

8-Bit Ninjas started as I expect most bands do, a bedroom project. Andy experimented with chip sounds and trackers and started adding guitars to it. The mission was to bring something to their humble region of the UK to break the cliques and sterile music scene there. Bored of attending gig after gig of cloned and boring beige music, they wanted to inject some primary colours into it. They were massively influenced by Alice in Videoland and Thermostatic in the early days but drawing influences from people like Crystal Castles, Sabrepulse, Fighter X, mixing that with Andy's background in rock bands and indie rock especially, they aimed to create something danceable, but not alienating the indie crowds they were surrounded with

9bar are a mix of ;modern Indie rock and ;classic rock...with a great live sound and attitude ....founded in 2008 by singer guitarist Jon Nixon the band was set up as a rock covers band working the Leeds and York circuit as a bit of fun and hailing from boroughbridge. JB's is proud to welcome them to the stage at this year's Limetree festival.

A vibrant and original guitar duo, Nick Caldwell & Steve Jervis - aka Acoustic Graffiti - combine some great blues, Latin and Jazz sounds and now, after more than a decade of gigging, they will be there and ready to roll at Limetree Festival in 2011. JB welcomes them to the stage on Sunday evening

Continuing over the last twelve months to champion music that is true to itself, Adam Shelton has an unshakeable focus on quality underground house. His debut EP ‘Air Trax’, due in February 2011 on air london, is part of a relentless effort to sketch out his own definition of authenticity. From sultry and atmospheric sounds to the acid-drenched and techy, the EP embodies the energy of his current musical course.

The Blues Experience is an 11 piece band celebrating the music of the great Blues artists. They play music from artists such as BB King, Robert Johnson, T Bone Walker, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton and many more.
They are a large band comprising of 3 Horns, 2 lead vocalists, 2 backing vocalists and a rhythm section.
Lead vocalists are Juliet Roberts and John McCallum. Both are outstanding singers. Juliet has had top 40 hits both here and in the USA and was a member of the band 'Working Week'. She is currently a member of the Courtney Pine Band.

Alfie does songs about anything. His lyrics are simple and his rhythms are catchy. With his guitar and sometimes a piano he will remind you that life goes on and you should have a good time.

Occasionally Alfie's grandma Edith joins him on stage playing the piano. Alfie and Edith share a common interest in Lady Soverign and Missy Elliot.

Almost Midnight play original funky rock and are based in Aylesbury, Bucks in the UK. Front man Charlie Wood plays Bass, Sings and writes songs about life. The music is catchy and a bit cheeky, there is a great depth to the sound with elements appreciated by all levels of musical connoisseur which comes from the diverse backgrounds of the members.

Animal Circus are a four-piece band based in East London, their music is a mix of reggae, ska and good old fashioned rock’n’roll – all delivered with an authentic punk DIY ethic. Through live shows, social networking and giving their debut album away for free they’ve achieved great buzz and hype on the London gig circuit in a very short amount of time. In November 2010 the now fully formed Animal Circus recorded their debut self-entitled album at House of Strange Studios in East London, used by Noah and the Whale and Mumford and Sons. The album represents the early stage of the band’s development and the songs are the essence of their sound.

Anita seamlessly channels her life experiences, utilizing songwriting as her therapeutic process. A brilliant lyricist, Anita turns these songs into outstanding masterpieces of blues combined with elements of folk, rock, punk and a healthy dose of soul that will undoubtedly move you. Her songs are so contagious that you’ll be humming them all day long with after just one listen.

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 15. His first release along side frequent studio partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be in the studio before even thinking about turning on the DAT recorder.

We believe the multi-talented Singer, Songwriter, Music Producer/Arranger and Piano player Anthony David Jensen is set to launch as one of the best and talented new UK artists of 2011. His brand new 14 track album ‘Waiting For A Change To Come’ is just finished, and is set for release on 5MC Records this summer. Jaymini set up her company, "Aradhana", to present Kathak in it's original pure form. In addition to performing and choreographing her own productions, Jaymini is a teacher of Kathak and holds regular classes, lecture demonstrations and residencies. Jaymini has choreographed for Geraldine Connor's spectacular production of "Carnival Messiah" which toured the UK and Trinidad and Tobago. She has also worked with Flamenco musicians and dancers to present Kathak in a new light, working seamlessly to show the similarities of the 2 styles. Jaymini has also experimented with Western Classical Music, choreographing Kathak to Beethoven's Concerto #1 and Vivaldi's Spring

The Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra formed in late 2007 when members of the Kidkanevil live show and First Word stalwarts Homecut began a series of late night afrobeat sessions at Leeds’ Sela Bar. It was out of these jam sessions that The Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra was born, combining their love of afrobeat with their appreciation of the space jazz pioneers of the 70’s and the free jazz trailblazers of the 60’s, coupled with a hefty nod towards James Brown. Individually they have been lucky enough to Perform with the likes of Yarah Bravo, Gilad Atzmon, Jehst, The New Mastersounds, The Haggis horns, Kidkanevil, Homecut, Kissey Asplund and Ty, to name a few. Their debut album came out in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim.

You are a very alternative 3 piece from Leeds and you recently completed your public debut in a small packed room somewhere. You have been described as the perfect band to listen to while mowing the lawn in the rain. You are an energetic performer with much to offer Limetree Festival.

Musically they would like to be in bed with Muse, Arcade Fire, Ladyhawke, Depeche Mode, Friendly Fires, Talking Heads, Groove Armada, Eurythmics, Joy Division, Snow Patrol and the Human League, but it would have to be a big bed. Bang Bang Romeo aim to set out their own stall, whether it’s singing unplugged versions of their songs or harnessing the mighty powers of the Mac and Logic and loads of synth sounds, to produce a big and powerful electronic guitar dance mix. Variety is the key, and an eclectic mix of influences helps.

Basil came to the fore in the 1980s when he led Yargo, a Manchester quartet whose style was a subtle fusion of jazz, funk and reggae sounds with nod to pop mainstream, a unique and innovative style. You can catch Basil Clarke, live on Saturday night, on JB's stage at Limetree Festival 2011

Black Flowers Audio formed in late 2009 comprising Dan Francis (vocals/guitar), Joe Goodwin (guitar), Aiden Doherty (bass) and Oliver Lloyd (drums/vocals). Having initially formed to perform a Bond theme written by Daniel Francis for a 'musical mission'/documentary about a twenty-something songwriter trying to get his hero (in this case John Barry) to listen to his take on the unique sub-genre of James Bond theme music; Black Flowers Audio took on very much a life of its own.

Kevin Harper aka “BOYWONDER” & George Eveyln met in Bradford in1984 As young Hip-Hop/ breakdance fans, & by 1985 ran their own club called “Downbeat” & Breakdance Troop called “The Solar City Rockers” Inaugurating their Poverty label in 1989 with a 12” feat Hip-Hop tune “Starting a Fact” on one side and “Let It Roll/ Dextrous” on the flip “Dextrous” became Warp’s second single which Put “Nightmares” well on the Northern Bleep scene alongside house pioneers “Unique 3” the likes of “LFO” & The “Forgemasters” 1990’s “Aftermath” crept into the charts at no 38 but following the “Word Of Science” album Harper left to concentrate on his DJ career which took him to Europe & other parts of the Globe….

Bruno first became excited by electronic music in early 2007 by Cambridge's longest running house and techno tastemakers, The Priory, who are responsible for throwing the highest quality underground do's for 6 years strong. Their monthly endeavor gave him a small yet accelerated window into the industry and the music from a place where it was otherwise invisible.

Built On Tradition are a Liverpool based rock outfit with big ideas. They play loud, in your face rock and roll music the way it should be played.Their blend of loud rock guitars coupled with catchy choruses and singalong lead melody never fails to catch peoples ears and always leaves people wanting more. With their critically acclaimed, energetic live performances, they have wowed audiences with an electric blend of hard edged indie and memorable tunes. In 2006, Dame Cleo Laine gave acknowledging praise to Carleen Anderson after she heard her sing with Sir John Dankworth's band at their legendary music forum, The Stables.

Since then, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club gets a full house when Carleen performs her residency shows at this globally famous jazz venue.

Celt Islam is probably best known to date for his work in the Sufi-Dub genre which he is probably alone in trying to create and to help define as a sub-genre. He does so in collaboration with some respected names such as Inder Goldfinger, tabla player for Stone Roses legend, Ian Brown’s band and Natacha Atlas and Dawoud Kringle who has recorded and performed with the likes of Lauryn Hill.

China Shop Bull play a lively 7 piece mix of ska rave and drum and bass, recently releasing a debut album ‘Rave To The Grave’. China Shop Bull have been on the festival, punk and party scene since 2006, playing with acts as diverse as Dreadzone, The Dub Pistols, Sonic Boom Six, Inner Terrestrials, The Skints, Pama International, Goldie Lookin Chain, Eat Static, Voodoo Glowskulls and Subsource.

Circus Envy are an alternative-folk band formed in Hull in 2005. Featuring a line-up of primarily acoustic instruments, they add a traditional sensibility to their intricately crafted harmony-led modern songs with use of bouzouki, mandolin and cajon. The band was also selected for a pivotal role in the third movement of the BBC's "A Symphony For Yorkshire" Project, leading to national radio and TV exposure. 2011 sees the band launch a single, "Regret", in January ahead of a full length release in the Spring.

The Clifford Village Band are a six piece pop band from leeds who play songs to make you smile, dance and have a great time. Playing songs inspired by a bizzare combination of artists from Laura Veirs and 60's merseybeat to John Mayer and township pop the Clifford Village Band sing songs of cities of white, stars in the sky and of life and the deep blue sea. The band have supported the likes of Lisa Mitchell, Jim Noir, Lauren Pritchard and Patch William at a variety of venues including the cockpit and the infamous Brudenell Social Club as well as playing at festivals including Live at Leeds and the amazingLimetree Festival where they played both the mainstage and headlined the Queerinspace stage last year all in one weekend!

Clive Henry has been clubbing for over 15 years now and has been a DJ for over 12. After a couple of years regularly attending London’s now legendary Shoom , Spectrum and Queens, he started running and playing at his own successful parties called GOSH, which he co-promoted alongside Rocky (Xpress 2 / Problem kids) then later with Charlie Chester. As Gosh came to a close after an eventful and successful 3 years, Clive reunited with Rocky and new boy Lofty to start a new night called THE BONE.

Cold Flame bring a heady and irresistable mix of string instruments led by violins and guitars blending together with percussion and vocal harmonies to create an exciting cocktail of quality acoustic, blues and celtic folk rock music. JB welcomes them to the stage on Sunday.

Having been involved in various musical projects, such as co-writing blues albums for Boosey Media (Cavendish Music), Dan has been playing gigs throughout the UK, both with his band and as a solo performer. JB's is proud to welcome Dan to the stage on Saturday evening for an intimate unplugged set at this year's Limetree festival.

Dannielle is a Singer / Songwriter from the North East of England, born many moons ago in a sleepy coastal town and brought up with lungs full of sea air flowing through her blood.

She has a collection of several personal songs and a good handful of well known covers which she performs regularly around her home town of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Dave Pilla is a Wirral born singer-songwriter based in Leeds. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Nick Drake, Jose Gonzalez and Damien Rice, Dave performs understated acoustic music that tugs at the heartstrings. With an ability to deliver low-fi, bleak storytelling and catchy hooks, his songs somehow sink in as deeply with the discerning muso as with ears trained on Radio 1.

Darren White aka dBridge is an artist whose multiple transformations and evolutions glide through a staggering list of achievements. Over the course of a long and distinguished career, he has been at the heart of some the most exciting collaborative partnerships drum & bass has ever seen from Future Forces to Bad Company, Forging a strong bond with Instra:mental. In 2011.As a solo artist, dBridge remains versatile with his own productions for Exit, Reinforced, Hotflush, and more.

Deadbeat Descendant are the purveyors of a high energy, stomping, psych-punk and roll experience. Strange tales of Cold War rock stars behind the iron curtain, midweek rebellion, protestations at MDF and the potent and enduring power of the black juice.

Denise Morgan will be performing an unplugged set on Saturday night on JB's World Music Stage.

This cheeky northerner has really been causing waves amongst the dance fraternity over the last couple of years, pushing his distinctive brand of quality Acid House and Techno. It wasnt until the end of 2004 that things really started to pick up for Denney when Mixmag awarded him the title of “Youngest Mixmag Future Hero”, This was a real stepping stone, as a few weeks after the magazine had been published, He was asked to warm up for Fatboy Slim on his much acclaimed Palookeville album tour infront of 2000 people.

An impeccable mix of jump blues, northern soul, heavyweight ska and dynamite rockabilly, from the early 50's to the late 60's.

Lubi Jovanovic is a bona fida Leeds jazz/soul/funk DJ legend, the UK's premier expert on salsa and known throughout the globe for his fine compilations of latin music (40 titles in the last 8 years with over 200,000 sales). Although post-2002, he has mainly worked in the latin scene, he also promotes regular funk/soul/jazz concerts at the premieri live music venue in Leeds, The Wardrobe, and you can catch him spinning 100% vinyl funk/soul/reggae sets at smaller bars in the city such as Sela and Citrus.

DJ Perry Homo brings you an eclectic selection from the database of music stored in her head.

If you think - Joni Mitchell or Skunk Anansie getting down with the Beatles and Muse - then you'll understand why you're in for a treat with the Doris Brendel Trio.

Amazingly talented, with at times husky vocals and an almost retro feel, you can catch them live in JB's at Limetree this year.

Down To The Bone is Stuart Wade as producer, writer and mastermind behind the whole groove project. Set up at the tail end of 1995 when Wade decided to take a track from the soul band he was in at the time, Think Twice, and remix it to give it a more rawer and stripped down feel. The result was the Down To The Bone remix of the track ‘Joy Is Free’ which was in the top 10 play list of Kiss FM for weeks on end and resulted in wide-scale DJ support in the U.K and Europe.

DRX has been in the music game since the tender age of 15 when he earned his first residencies at dnb nights in Huddersfield, Leeds and Manchester. Since then his dj’ing skills and tastes have changed somewhat, now leading the way in the fast evolving bass music culture coming out of London.

In under two years as Dub Fairy I have become the top female looper in the UK as a prizewinner in the UK finals of the Boss Loop Station Competition 2010, competing against the best loopers in the country including Woodnote and renowned beatboxer Shlomo, whom I later performed with in Leeds.

This success has led me to become involved with BBC Introducing and the B-side project along with offers of collaboration and band projects.

The Effektuators have a super rhythmical, invigorating, dance floor igniting power and they are creating a magnetic buzz that in tune groovers are compelled to be part of. The stunning 6-piece band are bursting through Manchester’s music scene with full Effekt and vibrance.

Emily’s originality lies in her authenticity. There’s a sincerity and warmth to her songs. Emily sings of genuine emotions; emotions that we can easily identify with. For all her wistful romanticism, there’s plenty of soul here too. This is a girl influenced by Joni Mitchell’s searing honesty, Nick Drake’s fragile beauty, even John Mayer’s nagging catchy choruses, but filtered into a sound unique to her.

The EC live show is something to be witnessed, they involve the whole crowd from start to finish taking the listener on a journey through hip hop grooves, soulful vocals and huge anthemic choruses.

Fox North Coalition evolved from the ashes of Hijak Oscar with a dark harmonica driven sound and raw live energy.

Freak Owls was created from the amalgamation of ideas, restlessness, and frustrations of Josh Ricchio.  After spending the past 12 years playing and touring in a wide variety of collaborative rock bands (most recently, "Pela", "Ladycop", "The Symphony Case"), the desire to lock himself in a room and write what he calls, "catchiness incarnate" became too great.

Empty Bottles has a growing reputation among Soul afficionado's and is attracting some of the UK's top Soul DJ's as guests. Expect Gary to play an eclectic mix of uptempo Mod, Soul, 60s and RnB at Limetree, crossing all eras. All played from original vinyl.

Over the past year the hard-working left-hander from Perthshire has been catching the attention and imagination of music lovers up and down the U.K with the release of his debut album, "Boy Cries Wolf"(featuring performances from Ellen Smith (Ellen and the Escapades) and Rosie Doonan (Radio 2 Folk Award nominee/Rosie Doonan+Ben Murray). Capturing audiences with his energetic live shows, filled with songs and stories of love, paranoia and prostitution, he always delivers them with honesty, passion and a good measure of Celtic Flair.

A seven piece Soul / Funk / Hip Hop band based in Birmingham, established in 2010. With the band consisting of a fusion of Hip Hop heads, to classically trained Jazz musicians, their style blends honest, feel good lyrics with funk rhythms to get your head nodding, your mind thinking and your feet moving. JB's is proud to welcome them to the stage at this year's Limetree festival.

Gold frank, otherwise known as Richard Elsby hails and wails from the overtly fashionable northern town of Leeds A year in to University whilst simultaneously managing the city’s finest skate emporium, his boss, a long time friend and mentor suddenly passed away. Never one to miss an opportunity, Frank immediately left Uni to open his own store and capitalize on the huge customer base already set in place.

With musical influences including Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, and quirky lyrics based around the ups and downs of being a grown-up, this band is developing a growing fanbase, both in their hometown of Glasgow and beyond. . JB's is proud to welcome them to the stage for a late Friday night jazz blues set at this year's Limetree festival.

Hannah Trigwell has built a worldwide fan base through Youtube and her first gig was busking on the streets of Leeds. Now, Hannah and her band are set to release their debut single 'HEADRUSH' on iTunes April 11th. Somewhere in between The Script and Adele, Hannah has a truly emotive lyrical style backed by a band that swallow you up in a depth of sound.

One of Australia’s festival favourites and perennial showstopper Hat Fitz is now joined on stage by Northern Ireland’s critically acclaimed vocalist extraordinaire and multi instrumentalist Cara Robinson on drums, washboard, flute and tin whistle. The blending of pre war hill country and delta blues with traditional celtic and early Australian folk has produced a truly unique musical style that’s seen audiences world wide drift off into the early morning, often drenched with sweat and always covered in smiles.

Describing Hayley as inspirational, refreshing and unique, is without doubt accurate, but this only touches the surface of a musical talent whose depth at times seems immeasurable. With a voice which can melt the hardest heart to piercing solid granite rock without ever losing control or technique, the Leeds-based singer-songwriter has established a fan-base far beyond her home city.

Hectic Egg is a comedy punk performance duo who do irritatingly catchy anarchic anthems and devilishly cleverish punk rhymes.

Hectic Egg consists of Debra Preston Hell (sandpaper vocals and lezzer chit chat) and Bidi Bo Dastadly (electric guitar, occasional vocals and one liners).

Holsta is something of a veteran in the West Yorkshire underground music scene. For over ten years he has been Djing alongside legends such as Grooverider, Pendulum, Ray Keith, Crissy Criss and Total Science, and running ever popular nights like Future Formation & Inertia in his home town of Huddersfield. He mixes a blend of liquid and jump-up drum’n’bass, jungle and dubstep.

Indecisive Crisis is the product of 4 musical beings hurling ideas around a dark and dingy room, like cavemen with the primitive urge to make noise. Disco-esque beats fused with a grunge instinct, collide with dynamic,chugging basslines to provide the band's rythm section. Driving guitar-lines which use sparse, bluesy melodies merge with a prominent female vocalist, who howls and hollers in accompaniment. Formed early 2009, Indecisive Crisis continue to practise intensely to become a funk-filled shot of adrenaline both on and off record.

Since performing in November 2005, Isma’s rise has been spectacular. She won the First Laugh competition at the Sheffield Comedy Festival in 2006, as well as being a semi-finalist in the unfair and biased So You Think You’re Funny contest. She has been a finalist in the Funny Women and Hackney New Act of the Year Competitions. Isma dispels myths about Muslim women whilst creating twice as many. Drawing on her council estate roots in Bradford, Isma’s comedy is intelligent, warm, acidic, challenging, accessible, happy, vicious, frank, charming and honest. Every type of audience from sociology professors to lads on a stag night, warm to her instantly and are expertly taken on a comedy white knuckle ride.

The band play roots reggae, dub, rocksteady, ska as well as other reggae styles and during their short time together have started to build up a following in and around Lancashire on the back of some very impressive festival performances.

Jah Mission Vibes aim to bring a little Jamaican sunshine to Limetree.

Before long James discovered House, Hardcore and Jungle, making weekly trips to raves and clubs in Cambridge, London and East Anglia. It wasn't long before he started to mess around on his friends' turntables, and in 1995 managed to get his first pair of decks. It was while at university in Nottingham that James first started playing out, at the time of the more melodic, deeper side of Drum n Bass which he spearheaded locally with his 'Bassic' night, viewed by many as the 'Swerve' of the Midlands, welcoming the likes of Fabio to the club on regular occasions.

Jasmine Kennedy is an acoustic singer/songwriter who sings from the heart; her lyrics a collection of throw away observations and bittersweet tales from theteenage heart which possess a remarkable power to stun an audience in to silence. In 2009 her debut album 'I Don't Have An Uncle Pat' was self-released and she spent 2010 sharing stages with the likes of Seasick Steve, James and Frightened Rabbit. Potentially the next Tracy Chapman, this 18-year-old has immense talent and an endearing charm.

Keyboardist, bass player, remixer, session musician, live instrumentalist, producer and artist, Dan Goldman aka JD73 (JazzDoctor73), will be performing live on JB's stage on Friday at this year's Limetree festival.

Hailing from York, North Yorkshire, Jess's musical career is going from strength to strength having shared a stage with international stars KT Tunstall, Kathryn Williams, Claire Hammil and the legendary Tony Joe White, as well as many talented local musicians. Formed in October 2010 through a mutual love of pop punk, Jesus and his Judgemental Father first got to know each other through the Leeds underground queer scene. Frequenting gigs by the likes of the Delorean Drivers, Fanny diWanko, Tiny Tin Lady and Amazon Molly, they bonded over their need for delicious hooks and sweet, sweet pop punk harmonies.

Jilly Riley is a solo artist delivering a rainbow of new sounds to your ear drums, including blues, funk, ska, and downrite soul as you've never heard before!

She's currently recording her debut single " I don't see colours" an anti racism song soon to be released in conjunction with an anti racism campaign.

John started out on Northern Soul scene in the early 70s attending the major venues and soon discovering a passion for the scene...From early days behind the decks at the local youth clubs it wasn’t long before John became a familiar figure at venues such as Derby’s Assembly rooms, the City Hall and Samantha’s at Sheffield. Over the years Johns vinyl collection has developed into one of the country’s finest and he’s graced the decks at the legendary Prestatyn weekender, as well as regular spots at massive venues such as Bridlington and Scarborough weekenders and Tadcasters Riley Smith hall.

Jon Gomm is an acoustic singer-songwriter with an incredible virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and sparkling melodies all at the same time, and combining styles from blues and jazz to rock and pop. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting however, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead.

Jonny is an underground house and techno D.J based in the UK; writer/producer and D.J he has played alongside some of the industries leading artists. Jonny started his very keen interest in music at a very early age, collecting a wide range of records and he was found regularly playing house music to a vast audience around the UK and abroad. Always looking out for the latest sounds and has now moved into a more diverse electronic house and techno sound.

A name that’s been gaining increasing attention from the who’s who of the underground electronic music community lately is London based DJ and producer jozif. The born and bred artist, who has worked his way to where he is today with his typical (to anyone that knows him) ‘jozif swagger’ – passionate, determined and wildly talent driven - has been charming the pants off the UK and Europe with his productions and DJ sets alike in recent years.

A truly unique Festival act from Huddersfield featuring the soulful vocals of sometimes Hospital Records vocalist Pat Fulgoni alongside guitars, drums, horns and electronica. "Party-worthy music combining rock, funk, dance and soul" says Billboard Magazine "Gorgeous new psychedelic funk" says the NME. Recent concerts include SXSW in Texas, Beijing Midi - China, Glastonbury, Cork Jazz Festivals. Their music is featured in major US TV shows like Dirt, John From Cincinnati, Weeds, games like Stoked and Tap Tap Revenge 3 for iphone. In 2010 Kava Kava toured the States taking in dates in LA, NYC, Texas and Arizona and more importantly, played a stonking set on the Green Man Stage at Limetree!

Nearly seven years ago, Kim and Seb met at an open mic night. Both doing very similar things, Seb honing his skills as a producer and Kim crafting herself as a singer songwriter. Two very different musical styles collided when they decided to start working together on various tracks from covers to demo songs that Kim was later able to use for her audition in Malaysia. They have come a long way performing at various venues in Leeds also taking up a resident position as a guest artist at the Breeze Festival in 2010 along with Ms Lightening Sykes. They are currently working on their first album and have had the chance to write for B.O.B aka Bobby Ray.

With a string of sell-out shows, and an ever-growing international following, Krystle Warren has quickly become hot property. She hails from Kansas City and learned to play the guitar by listening to Rubber Soul and Revolver. Busking on the streets of New York and Paris, she honed a distinctive musical style that merges jazz, blues, folk, funk and pop, combining a range of influences from Rufus Wainwright to Betty Carter, Willie Nelson to Nina Simone.

Regularly playing seasonal club nights all over the UK, Greece and the Netherlands, Ladypoof Djs play music that is fantastically indie-fineable…deep house, electro, French nu-disco, beakbeat …great dance music from every genre with a joyous and queer house party vibe.

Formed in 2006 with members from the northern periphery of the UK, The Leonard Jones Potential have been responsible for filling dance floors across the north of Scotland for the last few years. With a tight rhythm section providing hip shaking grooves, accompanied by the screaming Hammond of Captain Keys, tight harmonies of The Bad Ass Brass and the powerhouse vocals of Miss Michelle Davidson, the LJP really know how to tear the roof off.

Leonard’s Revenge have been wowing audiences with their incredibly catchy blend of acoustic, indie and rock, in 2008 recording their first demo with Leeds-based producer Jam Sponge. They formed just months before performing at the 2008 Limetree Festival, returned for the 2009 festival and this five piece indie rock band from Leeds are back again in 2010; an act definitely not to be missed! On the 6th of June 2009 Leonard's Revenge were ecstacic due to being crowned winners of Selby Town Hall's Battle of the Bands.

With a Breakbeat philosophy in fusing together ALL that is good in electronic music - from pumpin' funkin' breaks to the down-right filthy Electro. Leuce Rhythms have had hundreds of DJ sets and appearances across Europe. Sharing the bill with the likes of Lee Coombs, M.A.N.D.Y, Freq Nasty, Refunk A.K.A Jay Stewart, Atomic Hooligan, Booka Shade, Groove Allegiance… and more Leuce Rhythms’ Philosophy is simple – Fuse together good electronic music to create a slamming Breakbeat sound.

Here's a little story of us ~ A recent acquisition of a job lot of old recording equipment, which had been in storage in a garage belonging to a 97 year woman, uncovered a long forgotten gem. In amongst the cart of one of the tape machines we bought were four mouldy 1" reel boxes marked "Rita Brave - album sessions Oct-Dec '71". Although the boxes were perishing, the reels were perfectly preserved within the plastic sheaths. We fell in love with what we found and felt duty bound to breathe new life into her work so that it may see the light of day. Over the next year, with an 8-track tape machine and a bunch of old valve recording equipment we set about reworking some of the material we found. Some things we kept, some things we didn't. A collaboration spanning 40 years.

Lucy grew up in Leeds and now resides in London surrounded by her gorgeous band of likeminded rapscallions. Their music is inspired by the likes of Patty Griffin and Dolly Parton but with a twist of Florence & The Machine and Massive Attack, giving it a darker edge.

This 5 piece all female circus band will take you on a surreal journey to a place far far away! With strong theatrical roots a Madam Laycock set is not just about the music they play it is also about the strange characters, fancy dress, celebration and foolery with the audience! Using vocals, accordion, trumpet, violin, Glokenspiel and percussion, Madam Laycock will have wild rhinos dancing in your pants by the end of it all!

Majestics is a Roots Rock Reggae Band fronted by Faadaras,(vocals) alongside Jimmy (guitar) Russel,(guitar and keys) Tony,(bass) Sam,(drums) we play the music of our hearts with songs of love for the world.

Formed in 2010 as a party band, founding members, producers Naim Cortazzi and Frank Benbini have been making music together for some years in the bands Uncle Frank and Fatal Star. Frank also drums in the Fun Lovin' Criminals. The boys have produced a number of tracks which are big party anthems and dark funk infested RnB infused soul jamms.

Gypsy jazz played with the jaunty abandon of a misspent youth, an abusive PE teacher and a broken heart and arranged for 6 young virtuoso musicians who travel around playing the violin, guitar, double bass and accordion whilst dipping in and out of Parisian alleyways and absorbing pieces of the colourful lives they meet along the way.

Marcus was born in North London and from an early age played Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and an array of blues and folk by his mother and father who made him tapes of old LP’s he owned, Marcus proceeded to break these tapes through over playing quicker than his dad could make them till he was given a guitar made from a shoe box and elastic bands to keep him occupied. It wasn’t till 12 years later at the age of 15 he actually picked up a real guitar.

Mark first started djing in the late 80's with a friend dj Farrar. Influenced by the club nights at the Hacienda and the new Acid/House movement, they embarked on playing the music they loved to their home town Leeds!

MarsMusic are Mark and Maria. Raised in southern-Africa with strong Dutch, English and Portuguese roots, this London-based duo bring fusion to a whole new level. Their mix of culture, experience and genres leads to a sound that can only be described as “FolkRockTronica” (the name of their debut album, to be released early 2012.)

From bedroom anonymity to the front lines of British electronic music in little over six years: Matt Gill is a true rising star. As a producer, Matt has released on labels Play Digital, Moov Records and Ritual Music. His tracks have featured on Radio MK, 2FM and Unity Radio in the UK, and his third release, Miscommunicate, was championed on Kiss FM and the Resident Advisor charts by Ukrainian techno hero Vitaliy Spartaque. Matt's distinct production style draws influence from all corners of the house-electro-techno spectrum, with angular snippets of melody carried to the heart of the dancefloor atop dark, pounding bass lines and galloping synthetic drum tracks. He lists Ali Shirazinia, John Digweed, Adam Walder and Joel Zimmerman amongst his principal influences.

Emerging from Leeds’ local folk and roots scene, where they are gaining quickly in reputation and fanbase, Me and My Friends blend together disparate styles seamlessly into an entrancing, steaming whole. Charming, delicate folk melodies and layered vocal harmonies sit alongside the syncopated rhythmic elements of reggae, ska and highlife, sure to raise a smile and get some hips shaking.

Miranda Versus The Crok met on the streets of Leeds busking a couple of years ago and began gigging as an acoustic duo almost immediately, they have been a duo throughout this time but for a one off electric show they performed at The Library Pub in Leeds in October 2010 which was recorded and filmed for BBC introducing.

Monkey gloo records is a collective of established professional djs, audio engineers and music producers. After the success of performing at last year's Limetree festival, the monkey gloo team are returning with more djs and a wider range of genres.

Mr.C is founder & owner of Plink Plonk records, cofounder of End Recordings & cofounder & owner of Superfreq Records. Mr.C has recorded under the names, Myster-E, Nu Jacks, Bass Bureau, The Shamen, Mantrac, Somnambulist, Animus Amour, Killer Loop, Mr.C & Tom Parris & Mr.C & 16B.

Mr.C is best known as front man of the pop group The Shamen with whom he notched up a string of top 10 hits including Move Any Mountain & the UK number 1 hit Ebeneezer Goode. The Shamen also won a highly coveted Ivor Novelo for Songwriters of the year 1992.

Mwen's best known musical offerings were written and performed whilst with Leeds based live drum and bass band Hayashi. A successful 3 year run with Hayashi included live performances for BBC Radio, performance at Leeds Festival, support slots for Pendulum, Skream and Prime Cuts and culminated with the release of the album 'Bad Machine'. In 2009, however,it was time to move on to fulfill an artistic mission of becoming a unique talent in the UK music scene as not only a singer but as a musician, songwriter and performer. A move to London and a focus on developing solo material is allowing this mission to be fulfilled in steps and with her solo tracks receiving radio play from DJs such as BBC6's Tom Robinson, the future is looking bright for Mwen."

With over a decade of experience behind him, Nanny Banton has gained a reputation for being one of Manchester’s finest jungle exports. After starting out at the age of 16, he has held down a number of high profile residencies at Crash, Homegrown Presents and with Wiseguy Promotions as well as appearing at some of the largest drum n bass nights in his hometown.

Natural Rhythm Band describe themselves as ska warriors who in Tony Bootsy, words "we dont take no prisoners man". The four core members of the band are tony, gary, ian, and yogi who have been with the band from day one in 1990! JB's is proud to welcome them to the stage on Sunday evening at this year's Limetree festival.

New Vinyl formed in 2003. To date, we have recorded 22 songs and played hundreds of gigs all over the country, Including the Leeds Festival where we played the Topman unsigned stage and the Nokia Rock up and play stage twice. Recently we helped to organise and play a live music charity event at Harewood House in Leeds. It sold more than 2000 tickets and we raised almost 20k for childline. It was a great success and we have been asked to help organise and play in future events.

JB's is pleased to welcome the Northern Jazz Orchestra to the stage on Saturday night. (imagine Sea Sick Steve could play great harmonica!)...I also cover songs by Little Walter,Muddy Waters,Bo Diddley,Sonny Boy Williamson,T-bone Walker,Jimmy Reed and The Rolling Stones and others. I have played at many local festivals and venues... I have an upbeat,driving sound which is contempary and original yet authentic and rootsy - JB's is proud to welcome Phil to the stage on Saturday evening at this year's Limetree festival.

Phil the Tank started mixing hardcore on his mate's beltdrives at the age of 13. By the age of 16 he was already playing at various events, notably the new talent arena at Helter Skelter under the pseudonym ‘Ecstatic’.

Phoreski is the man behind the Fat Fuk Recordings label as well as the Richard Gateaux releases. He started his production with his Bare Fist edit label and quickly moved on to his own original works releasing on various international labels under different guises.

Purple Mafia are a POP/rock/indie band from Ripon. We are all 14 years old and have been together for about 18 months now and have won many competitions including sound of the town and Ripons Got Talent. We have also been on BBC Radio York and Stray FM for interviews and song plays etc.

The Raisers were formed in 1990 to play for a one-off event to raise money for charity. Although the line up has changed over the years, the music still remains the same

Rhythm Zoo hold the music close to their hearts and are rapidly gaining a solid reputation within the UK blues music scene. The band formed three years ago and has already played at some of the UK’s major blues festivals, including the Great British R & B Festival in Colne, Nantwich Jazz and Blues, Worthenbury Blues and Roots Festival, Wallingford Blues Festival (supporting Connie Lush) and Boogaloo Promotions Prestatyn Blues Festival.

Richy Ahmed is at the forefront of a new breed of British DJs, who are re-defining house music taking cues from disco, techno, funk and hip-hop. Over the last year British house music has been through a renaissance with a whole new generation of DJs and producers like Robert James, Subb-an, Russ Yallop and Maya Jane Coles quickly making names for themselves. In the midst of this surge of homegrown talent is Richy Ahmed, Hot Natured resident and part of the Hot Creations inner circle.

London based DJ and Producer; Rob Mello has recorded, produced, and remixed a diverse catalogue of releases since 1992. One of his guises was the pioneering disco and house duo Disco Elements/ Sensory Productions, Previously signed to Azuli Records. Rob was also co-founder of the saucy house label Luxury Service and produced the first Black Science Orchestra single with Ashley Beedle, "Where were you", released on the legendary London house label, Boys Own.

Robert James is one of a new breed of fast rising artists that hail from the city of Leeds. Making his name DJing around the city and in Ibiza his career is set to explode exponentially this summer having just dropped the massive ‘Sleep Moods’ EP on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ new Hot Creations label. A truly individual record gaining well deserved support from across the board!

Ask any fan of dance music who their favourite male vocalist is and nine times out of ten Robert Owens name will come back. Sure, there are other great male house vocalists out there, but with more than twenty years as a gifted singer, songwriter, producer and DJ under his belt, Robert has not so much embellished house music as played a large part in defining it. 'Tears', 'I'll Be Your Friend' and 'Ordinary People' are just some of the tunes that have borne his black velvet voice and gone on to become truly classic dance records.

Formed since last years Limetree festival, where they all performed in their own right, Tom, Aoife and Joe started this new collaboration - an alchemy of acoustic songs and electronic pro-duction. The project comprises Aoife Hearty's sweet and captivating vocals, funky electronics and programming courtesy of Tom Taylor and Joe Tatton (The New Mastersounds, Haggis Horns) adding synths, keys and the like. Futuristic and electronic fused with iazzy and suave, their quirky disco will be hard to pigeon-hole.

Ryan Spendlove was born and raised in a small ex-mining village in West Yorkshire (UK) called Gawthorpe. He started playing guitar at 18 and helped to start a 4 piece band called The Blueskins who managed to tour Europe and America before they regrouped in 2005 and then later split in 2008. They played a few major festivals (Leeds, Reading, South By South West.) Their most popular song "Change My Mind" was used in a Lynx deodorant TV commercial and also in the remake of the cult classic series, “The Dukes of Hazzard”

Samantha is a talented singer/songwriter formerly based in London, but now back in Harrogate. She bases the majority of her material around her guitar, and plays live with her electronic percussionist.

Her EP, Samantha Smith – Unplugged was a highly regarded EP which had strong reviews. With inspirations ranging from Alanis Morissette, India Arie, Marvin Gaye, The Stereophonics, Alicia Keys and Kings of Leon, these have all had an impact on Samantha and show through her song writing which has given her a rounded sound of pop, rock and soul all in one.

Samson & Delilah are a dynamic 5 piece Australian/British folk-pop group based in Manchester, led by the songwriting partnership of husband and wife Sam Lench and Anna Zweck.

One of the North West’s most creative and original melodic Folk/Rock bands SandS will be performing a late night semi/acoustic set of great music for the JBJazz Blues audience. Joining Tom Shevchuk and Russ Samuals from SandS on stage for this exclusive performance will be special guest Jo Samuals from Manchester’s rock quartet Greenfire. Sea Fret are a young acoustic duo from East Yorkshire who met around 6 months ago at a small acoustic night in Sewerby. They sing their own songs as well as covers from artists such as Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Paolo Nutini , Bob Dylan , Eva Cassidy and many more. They recently played the Folk Rising concert in Hull to great acclaim. This talented duo leaves audiences in praise, begging for more.

Secret Sirens is a Pop music project created by singer/songwriter/keyboardist Narelle Frances and multi-instrumentalist and music visionary Andrew Siron. Based in Leeds, the duo write and produce their music to capture images of fantasy, mythology, love and hate in the form of what has been described as ‘Dramatic Pop’.

Secret Sirens released their first single ‘Black Heart’ at the end of 2010 as a ‘taster’ and is available to download on iTunes and Amazon. The track has received radio play across the BBC network, Kerrang, numerous Internet radio stations and Liverpool FC’s Anfield football ground; receiving positive reviews all round.

Shelly Cooper Stand-up Comic, Presenter, Actor, & Writer, brought the Queerinspace tent down in 2010 and we are delighted that she’s is returning to the Bet Lynch stage in 2011. Shelly has appeared throughout the UK and in New York & Rome.

The sparse beautiful bleakness of the songs work their way inside you. They may not be from the Delta, but, my goodness, they owe every gut-wrenching bit of sadness to that area. We’re delighted Ste McCabe is back with us in 2011. This queer-electro-punk singer based in Manchester conjours up a quirky and sarcastic blend that is sure to delight, energise and politicise his audience .

In the last 5 years Ste has released 2 critically acclaimed albums on Cherryade Records, toured all over Europe and has been praised by everyone from Huw Stephens on Radio 1 and Artrocker Magazine to 80's pop icons like Boy George and Holly Johnson.

Strid are a woman, a man and a guitar. Jennie Kiff, Simon Allan and a Lowden F12. An acoustic duo with an impressive emotional range- from heart breaking, intimate confessionals to crowd pleasing favourites, all delivered with energy and an engaging stage presence.

Strid perform an eclectic mix of classic songs from the last fifty years driven by rich vocal harmonies, punchy guitar and an earthy sense of humour.

Subb-an’s rapid rise to prominence as a DJ, producer and one of the most exiting new British live acts of recent years is testament to his hard work, natural talent and wholehearted commitment to electronic music. This success hasn’t been earned overnight. At just 23 years old, Ashique ‘Subb-an’ Subhan has done much more in his career in dance music than many artists twice his age. In 2005, Subb-an landed a residency at Below, one of the UK’s most cherished underground clubbing institutions. Over the last six years Below has seen the likes of Sven Vath, Loco Dice, Dinky, Jamie Jones and Sebo K headlining sold out parties that continue to draw crowds of clued-clubbers from all over the UK.

Drawing on dubstep, soul, ambient electronica, jazz and dub Submotion Orchestra have been making waves and rapidly building a significant reputation as one of the most intriguing ensembles to surface in the last 12 months. Their deep bass driven grooves combine with an ethereal piano, a plangent trumpet, and deft percussion to create the perfect setting for the fragile beauty of Ruby Wood’s vocals and the celestial electronics of sound designer Ruckspin. The result is something that is really quite special

The Supernormals are the creative brainchild of Sara and Johnboy, who whilst living in London for six years penned over 80 original tracks. Using break-beats and samples to create their phat edgy sound, they soon realised they needed to take their sound live, the Supernormals hence were born. Today the Supernormals are a hard working seven-piece band committed to gigging regularly locally and nationally and performing all their original material.

'With bookings spanning as far as New York, Terri has often been described as “a phenomenal soul/blues/funk singer” and is going from strength to strength.
She has recorded and toured with award-winning British jazz and funk guitarist legend Jim Mullen and her music has recently enjoyed exposure on BBC Radio 6's 'Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show', Radio Aire and BBC Radio Leeds – on which she was featured 'live'.

A hillbilly rabble of 5 scruffy young guitar pickin, harmony-hollerin, bourbon-swiggin folk-blues-country yokels from Manchester, Mansfield, London and Japan - it sounds like it'd never work but these boys sing like angels who've been kicked flying out of the rickety saloon doors of a particularly grubby celestial bar by a tattooed ex-marine called Randy. UK national radio has already picked up on first single (Oh Lord & I) Keep On Losing, which was made pick of the week on Absolute Radio's Sunday Night Music Club show. The band have spent 2 summers playing rapturously received sets at festivals up and down the UK, and supporting the likes of The Charlatans and Alabama3 to name but 2.

The amazing blues guitarist, and for 15 years one of the legendary Bluesbreakers, Buddy Whittington and his band will be performing live on stage on Sunday evening in JB's at Limetree Festival, 2011. A lineup not to be missed including Roger Cotton and Pete Stroud from Peter Green's Splinter Group and Darby Todd from Protect The Beat. Treat yourseld to A Bag Full of Blues!

The Cottonhouse Shakers are a difficult band to pigeon hole. Firstly the band have a jazz funk edge but that's only the start of things. They bring along a fantastic and eclectic set to the weekend.

The FALL-OUT are a new Manchester based band that play a collection of Classic and Modern Rock as well as interesting twists on contemporary music. Recently formed but already accomplshed performers of faithful covers and lovingly crafted original songs, JB welcomes them to the stage on Sunday

Rooted in soul-jazz, blues, latin, funk & fusion but with a progressive edge, THE FANTASTICS! have released 45s on Freestyle, Raw Wax, and Tramp, performed live BBC sessions for Mark Lamarr and Craig Charles. Like their incendiary live performances around the UK and across Europe, the album ‘Mighty Righteous’ (Freestyle Records) rips up the rigidly defined genres of ‘the funk scene’, and throws 5 decades of hip swinging musical influences into the mix to create something fresh and engaging.

A powerful and energetic three piece, the Joe Fleming Band play a blend of acoustic soul and reggae.

The Limetree Family Affair a hugely talented group of musicians, pulled in from many world famous groups. This is a one time opportunity to witness these musicians performing together. The line-up will remain a closely guarded secret but all of the line-up are Limetree Festival veterans.

A lead/slide guitarist and vocalist specialising in Blues; Blues Rock; Classic Rock, and R & B, Guitar style reminiscent of Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Freddie King and Buddy Guy and a slide style reminiscent of Muddy Waters and Elmore James.

A band that's been together since the age of 13 and after a few departures are still going strong.

They've played in Europe and all over the UK. Never failing to deliver everything they have to offer - Hard Hitting and Catchy Riffs! Mixed with a driving bass sound and drums played as they should be - Hard !

"We have worked together for the last 18 months on numerous duo gigs from the usual wedding receptions to the slightly bizarre - playing in shop windows (literally on the window ledge as we dont take up much room) and will be performing in a pie shop very soon to which we have a large following on twitter who want to shake meracas just to say they've played in one! We like wierd gigs! I want us to play in a petrol station or a garden centre next!"

The man who gave Axl and co their big break saw YouTube clips of 19-year-old guitarist Chris Buck playing covers of the Police and Eric Clapton, and labelled him “the best up-and-coming guitarist this century.” JB's is proud to welcome them to the stage at this year's Limetree festival.

Tony cut his teeth as a young Northern Soul DJ in the Wetherby area with his frequent trips further afield to Wigan and Cleethorpes yielding a constant flow of mouth watering gems for the local young pretenders...Tony soon established the Barley Fields all dayers and Boston Spa Youth club on Northern Soul scene.

Traffic Wire began as Red Hot Mini Cheddars in the summer of '09 when they all met at Rock School, Leeds. In January 2010 they entered the battle of the bands competition, Live n Unsigned, and changed their name to Hot Ice. They were the youngest band to get to the semi-finals of the national competition and were among the last 150 from 10,000 artists. They have played at great venues such as The Cockpit, The Northern Monkey, The Wardrobe, Leeds Town Hall, Breeze on Tour, I love South Leeds Festival as well as many local pubs and clubs, giving them great experience of performing for live audiences of all ages.

Taking his name from an infamous (and now defunct) night spot in his home town of Halifax, Tramshed has been operating on the margins of club music for over a decade. Under different aliases he has collaborated with UK Hip Hop legends Dirty Diggers, and also co-hosted a radio show on Birmingham’s Burn FM with Hum & Buzz label boss Optimum. As a producer and DJ, Tramshed specialises in the current wave of House/Bass mutations, although in the past his sets have included Grime, R&B, Dirty South Hip Hop and Detroit Techno.

Transglobal Underground is a London-based music collective who specialise in a fusion of western, oriental and African music styles (sometimes labelled as "world fusion" or "ethno-techno"). Their single "Temple Head" was used in a Coca-Cola advertising campaign for the 1996 Olympic Games. In 2008 they won the BBC Radio 3 Award for World Music after the release of their seventh official album, Moonshout.

Ever passionate about bringing the essence of live music back to the streets and hometowns by leading by example; both within her own music and teaching others the basic skills of guitar and song writing (skills in which she picked up within her years of singing). She began self taught skills on the guitar within her college days, heavily backed up with years of therory and confidence in the chosen arts. That and song writing from the age of 12 has allowed many years of entertainers, members of the community and more recently events such as; The Flyover Show 2010, RichMix Presents BrixLane Remixed (an event in which she hosted and performed) 2010, many years of library theatre shows, Town Hall performances and various gigs streatching as far as Crawley, Manchester and London

The dj collective The Urban Allstars have been spreading their love of the funk for may a year.

The records they play are just upfront, good time, party tunes. Everything from northern soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, and reggae. Anything to make you move your feet as well as your soul!

The colourful Urban Gypsies as seen on semi-finals of "Britain's Got Talent" will be walkabout and dancing at the festival year with their crazy mix of world and Tribal Belly Dance moves.

Vamos has been an integral part of the West Yorkshire drum’n’bass scene for nearly a decade. It was after moving to Bristol in the late 90s that his musical interests intensified. Upon his return to the North he set up the Depthcuts collective, nurturing new talent, organising club nights and outdoor raves and bringing some of the drum’n’bass scenes leading figures to West Yorkshire.

Virginia recorded her debut album The Music, while signed to a small independent label in London, 1995, produced by Phil Saatchi (Joan Armatrading, Pete Smith), and featuring string arrangements by Oscar-winning composer and Art of Noise founder, Anne Dudley. If We Are Ever, taken from the album, was BBCR1 play-listed in February ’97 shortly before the label’s demise. Virginia then joined the legion of artists recording on own-labels, taking control of the way their music was produced, presented and promoted.

Voices Of The Day are a community choir based In Leeds, with members hailing from far and wide. The choir was founded in early 2010 by Cleve Freckleton (former frontman of ‘Chunky Butt Funky’) and a collective of musicians from the Leeds scene inspired by the belief that music and song is something that can be shared by all, and that by coming together as a community and family and reaching out and supporting one another, great things can be achieved.

In 2010 Bradford’s Wilful Missing released the EP Vast Atlantic on Little Attic Records. Their new full length debut album will be available in early 2011. Wilful Missing have beautifully arranged songs featuring mandolin, cello, guitars, Hammond & Rhode keyboards, clarinet, accordion, bagpipes, cajon, drums, bass and penny whistle.

Zemmy puts her own unique twist on the pop genre, writing songs that are relatable and catchy but full of depth and emotion. Influenced by artists such as Sade, Lauryn Hill, Sia, Dido and Beyonce, she creates intelligent pop songs which span across the wide spectrum of the genre.

Zero 7's debut album in 2001, "Simple Things", was nominated for several awards including the Mercury Music Prize and they also won the "Best Newcomer" award at the Muzik Awards. Third album "The Garden" won Zero 7 a Grammy nomination in the US, and became their third consecutive gold-seller in the UK. Zero 7 have been popularly featured in various film and TV soundtracks and have remixed tracks from a plethora of artists including Radiohead, Terry Callier, Lenny Kravitz, Sneaker Pimps and Lambchop.
