A chance meeting between two talented songwriters who were both performing at a central London music venue saw the creation of ahab, an alternative/country duo who are Callum Adamson and Dave Burn.

Both of these young songwriters have grown from musical backgrounds. Their upbringing giving them every encouragement to develope their craft.

Their music is of a style away from the middle ground, yet their songs have a unique sound and take on a maturity far beyond their years. They are very much left of centre producing songs that are instantly recognisable as ahab.

During the past twelve months they have achieved radio play on the ABC network in Australia where Dave embarked on a solo visit to promote the songs. This included interviews and live sessions along the west coast. In the UK their songs have been featured on  BBC radio and they featured with a live session for BBC’s “Brand New Country” as well as several other live radio session’s including Smooth Fm.

Their track “Avenues” was included in a News Of The World covermount cd while their first recordings received an outstanding review from “Maverick” magazine with comparisons made to Crosby, Stills & Nash..

An e.p release ( e.p1 ) followed, again obtaining excellent reviews  from the media and has sold in the UK, Europe and the US on the independant label “White Wail Records”, helping to create their present fan base.

Their new album “ahab”, released in August 2008 brought together songs crafted by Callum and Dave over the past two years with the addition of the unique cover of Nirvana’s “Breed”. This album received a five star rating by Maverick magazine and a four star rating by Rock n Reel magazine. Several tracks have found radio play throughout Europe.

2009 saw the addition of Seebs Llewlyn and Luke Price and the new band line completed a tour of the states including five nights at Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Nashville.
