O’Hooley & Tidow

O' Hooley and Tidow

These dapper-suited gentlewomen have created Silent June; their unpindownable, multi-layered debut album released on the No Masters label. Edgy romanticism, intensely beautiful, poetic and wryly observant have all been used to describe this formidable duo. Garnering increased attention and widespread acclaim, they have been winning over audiences countrywide with their irresistible blend of poignant, thought provoking songs and lush harmonies with a dash of cheeky northern banter.

Down To The Bone

Down To The Bone

Down To The Bone is Stuart Wade as producer, writer and mastermind behind the whole groove project. Set up at the tail end of 1995 when Wade decided to take a track from the soul band he was in at the time, Think Twice, and remix it to give it a more rawer and stripped down feel. The result was the Down To The Bone remix of the track ‘Joy Is Free’ which was in the top 10 play list of Kiss FM for weeks on end and resulted in wide-scale DJ support in the U.K and Europe.

Submotion Orchestra

Submotion Orchestra

Drawing on dubstep, soul, ambient electronica, jazz and dub Submotion Orchestra have been making waves and rapidly building a significant reputation as one of the most intriguing ensembles to surface in the last 12 months. Their deep bass driven grooves combine with an ethereal piano, a plangent trumpet, and deft percussion to create the perfect setting for the fragile beauty of Ruby Wood’s vocals and the celestial electronics of sound designer Ruckspin. Celt Islam

Celt Islam

Celt Islam is probably best known to date for his work in the Sufi-Dub genre which he is probably alone in trying to create and to help define as a sub-genre. He does so in collaboration with some respected names such as Inder Goldfinger, tabla player for Stone Roses legend, Ian Brown’s band and Natacha Atlas and Dawoud Kringle who has recorded and performed with the likes of Lauryn Hill.

“Believe me! if you love Dubstep but with an emotional heart beating its very core your gonna need this album!”
