The Blind Hearts

The Blind HeartsThese young London hillbillies are seasoned festival & tour performers who’ve shared bills with the likes of Brakes, Foals, Nine Black Alps, Garth Hudson from The Band, Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze, Danny & The Champions of the World, Findlay Brown, Dogs, Buck 65, Idlewild and many, many more. The Blind Hearts transplant Manchester to the Mississippi. From the boy Gyves’ distinctive vocals, you’d swear the blues was born in Burnage and country came from Collyhurst.

James Taylor Quartet – Headline Saturday Night

The brilliant Funk outfit James Taylor Quartet will be headlining the Green Man Stage on Saturday 28th August, the Hammond Organ based funksters will be ripping this stage to bits !!!

The Blockheads To Headline Friday Night

Legendary 70’s band the Blockheads will be playing the Green Man stage on Friday 27th August. Hot off the success of the Ian Dury Biopic “Sex,Drugs and Rock N Roll” the band will bring something very special to our little festival.

The Blockheads

BlockheadsThere’s no doubting that the most lovable, eccentric, cocky, funny, schoolboy-rude and artful characters from the punk generation are The Blockheads. With hits such as Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, Reasons To be Cheerful Part 3 and Sex & Drugs & Rock N Roll, they continue to be one of the greatest live bands that the UK has ever produced.

The line up features: Chaz Jankel (who wrote the music to accompany Ian Dury’s lyrics), Mick Gallagher, John Turnbull and Derek The Draw – the bands mysterious frontman since 2002. After their barnstorming performances at The Big Chill in 2007, Glastonbury in 2008 and Madstock in 2009 they have launched a new album Staring Down the Barrel which attracted great reviews.

Blackout Retrospective

Blackout Retrospective
There are bands that write pieces of music and there are bands that write tunes, Blackout Retrospective are all about the the latter!
Formed in late 2009, Female fronted BR blend punk and metal musicality. With one of the finest singers this side of the atlantic, they produce a powerful and heavy, yet melodic sound that will leave you wanting more.

a.h.a.b

A chance meeting between two talented songwriters who were both performing at a central London music venue saw the creation of ahab, an alternative/country duo who are Callum Adamson and Dave Burn.

Both of these young songwriters have grown from musical backgrounds. Their upbringing giving them every encouragement to develope their craft.

Their music is of a style away from the middle ground, yet their songs have a unique sound and take on a maturity far beyond their years. They are very much left of centre producing songs that are instantly recognisable as ahab.

Extra Curricular

Extra Curricular

A LIVE Hip Hop/Soul/Pop act fronted by the amazingly talented Jack Flash, Ruby Wood, and Thabo Mkwananzi. Extra Curricular comprises a unique combination of instruments with a horn section, decks and samplers, alongside guitar, bass and drums.

The EC live show is something to be witnessed, they involve the whole crowd from start to finish taking the listener on a journey through hip hop grooves, soulful vocals and huge anthemic choruses.
