The Limetree Festival 2008 is taking place over the weekend of the 1st till 3rd August 2008. We at The Limetree Festival 2008 have created a new annual event that focuses on returning to how festivals used to be before they became these big corporate enterprises that they are today. With so few festivals in North Yorkshire, Northern England and those that there are, tend to be highly commercial The Limetree Festival 2008 has free camping, onsite showers, onsite parking, no nightclub style prices, no economy burgers, no nasty toilets, no prima donnas and no need to take time off work. Just arrive, relax and enjoy a festival how it should be. Featuring a top class lineup of bands renowned for their live performances across three stag-es. A healing field for you to rejuvenate mind, body and soul. As well as comedy, cabaret, street theatre, late night cinema, art, poetry, politics, literature & more. There will be a themed cocktail bar, beer tents, quality local food vendors as well as weird and wonderful stalls for you to potter round. Limetree Farm is a blend of rolling hills, ancient woods and wildflower meadows, it also features a stone circle and an iron-age round house all of which gives the the site its own spirit & energy. This combination of stunning setting, unique atmosphere and the quality of acts and attractions on offer, make this the perfect place for like minded souls to get together & enjoy.
